Background
Music has been a major part of my life ever since I first heard reggae music in Kingston, Jamaica during my childhood. Inspired by the sound and feeling, Me and close friends Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer created a group that we called The Wailers. Between the years of 1963 and 1966 we recorded over 70 tracks and began to form a name for ourselves in Jamaica. It wasn't until 1973 that we released our first hit record Catch a Fire and began to make a name outside of Jamaica. Following this album, Bunny and Peter left the band to start solo careers. That didn't stop the band though, we gained new members and created the album Natty Dread, which made me and the band global stars.
